Become a G.R.E.A.T. Godmother
Empowering Women to Walk in Faith and Freedom
The Great Godmothers is seeking mature, compassionate Christian women who feel called to walk alongside another woman in her journey toward healing, stability, and spiritual growth.
This is not simply a volunteer role.
It is a discipleship commitment.
As a Godmother, you will build a Christ-centered mentoring and coaching relationship with a woman who may be facing homelessness, joblessness, family estrangement, trauma, or deep life transition. You will offer emotional encouragement, spiritual guidance, practical wisdom, and consistent accountability — helping her move toward independence, purpose, and renewed identity in Christ.
Our mission is to break generational curses by partnering women in need with stable Christian Godmothers who provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support.
This work requires empathy, patience, emotional maturity, and the ability to hold healthy boundaries. It also requires commitment. Godmothers agree to walk faithfully with their Goddaughter for a minimum of 6–12 months, meeting regularly and remaining engaged in her growth journey.
You will not walk alone in this calling.
All Godmothers receive training and ongoing support in:
-
Trauma-informed care
-
Active listening
-
Basic coaching principles
-
Prayer counseling
-
Mental health resource awareness
-
Boundary setting and accountability
We are committed to equipping you to mentor and coach safely, wisely, and effectively.
This role is for women who:
-
Have a mature and active relationship with Jesus Christ
-
Desire to disciple others in accordance with Titus 2*
-
Can provide consistent presence without rescuing or fostering dependency
-
Are emotionally grounded and able to walk alongside trauma survivors with grace and discernment
Serving as a Godmother is not about “fixing” someone.
It is about faithfully walking beside her as she does the hard work of growth.
If you feel stirred to explore this calling, we invite you to complete the interest form below. After submission, you will be contacted to schedule an orientation and alignment conversation so we can prayerfully discern next steps together.
*Titus 2:3-5 ESV "Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."
